Lily and Michael had their dream wedding in Lake Como, a popular destination for couples all over the world. They tied the knot at Balbainello and later had a chic reception at Villa Lario in October, surrounded by their loved ones.
GETTING READY IN VILLA LARIO
The bride and her bridesmaids got ready at Villa Lario's beautiful suite, while the groom and his close friends enjoyed prosecco and Spritz in the gardens. They took a typical boat tour to reach Balbainello, which offered a stunning view of the lake.
CEREMONY IN BALBIANELLO
The ceremony took place at Villa del Balbianello, where the Loggia Durini was adorned with flowers and a lush aisle decoration. The vows were full of love and happiness and the celebrant, a friend dressed up as the Pope, made the ceremony both emotional and fun.
BOAT TRIP BACK TO VILLA LARIO AND RECEPTION
After the ceremony, they had a boat trip back to Villa Lario where the reception was held. The aperitif was served in the main garden, while the Sala Palazzo hosted the dinner. The long imperial table was decorated with a mix of high and low centrepieces, featuring contemporary flower arrangements in autumn colours with a touch of hot pink. Candles in matching colours added a romantic and chic atmosphere.
THE PERFECT NIGHT
During the dinner, a live band played hits that represented Lily and Michael's story. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they opted for a smore's station where a chef melted marshmallows and chocolate for each guest. The night ended with dancing with family and friends, making it a memorable and fun-filled celebration.
